I'm not a fan of connection like that. They are quick and easy but when dealing with the need to tap into or splice a copper stranded wire and in an environment where shaking and weather comes into play soldering will always be my first choice. You gotta do what you gotta do but I've seen those types of connections cut through enough wire that they allow the wire to break and worse...corrode over time causing the wire to fail by not passing voltage.
