I bought a cheap extension cord from Harbor freight with a cigarette lighter plug on both ends, on e male one female. I cut the male end off and attached a polarized plug instead that plugs into my battery tender lead. This serves 2 purposes one it can be plugged in and reaches my saddle bag so I can charge while I ride or I can plug it in and have room to move if I need to call while charging. It is a coiled cord like on a phone. That same cord allows me to plug other accys. in too like a small 12v spotlight I also got at Harbor Freight, and a CD player I used when doing a couple audio tours on vacation.Similar to this
