I have an 05 America which I plan to relocate the controls to a more standard position, so, I can lose bar for the forward controls. This got me thinking that I would then have enough clearance to install Bonnie or Thrux header pipes which would allow me to run the pipes closer to the frame in general. I realize I may need to fab new brackets further back and likely new hangers for the pipes themselves, but my primary question is whether or not the America/Speedy down-tubes are close enough together to allow use of the Bonnie headers to begin with??
