there are a few roads out where I grew up that wind through the fields of the farms around there that have very sharp turns and many in a short distance some great fun with swooping turns that apex at the bottom of a dip in the road that you can fly through and G force smashes you down into your seat. Another part (Think I had Tom (Brokenfixed) on this stretch) where there are 3 hills in a row that are about 25' tall more or less that go up steeply and then back down and the changes are sharp enough to get air at the top of each then smash you down in the seat at the bottom as you start up the next. Some great fun roads here as well as being very dangerous if you don't know them.Like after those 3 hills once you land after getting air on the 3rd hill you have to be hard on the brakes to make a 90º turn right after on the way down the other side.

In northern Delaware there is a place they called Beaver Valley. Great get killed roads out there in the 60s when I started to ride. Then all through Chadds Ford Pa. and Lenape Park was a hoot too. I think they are everywhere to some degree.

Here in Texas we have the 3 sisters where RR-337 has taken a lot of bikes off the cliff in its history.

And in SoCal there's Angeles Crest Hwy (CA Hwy 2) in the San Gabriel Mountains,(CA Hwy 2), and Mulholland Hwy in the Santa Monica Mountains. In north-central Arizona there's White Spar Pass(AZ Hwy 89) and Mingus Mountain Hwy(just part of AZ Hwy 89A).

All of the above I've ridden "spiritedly" upon occasion(as anyone who has attended any of the SWTF rallies can testify about my "spirited" riding on the AZ roads ), AND which have these kind of photographers occasionally stationed at various twists in these VERY technical roads.

Point being, besides the point that there ARE "fun" roads like the Tail of the Dragon all OVER this country and the world, IS that EVEN when I'm riding "spiritedly", I try NEVER to go over "7/10th" of my and my bikes total capabilities while on a public road, because as the Corvette driver pretty much stated in his text, you never know what's around that next bend on a public road that is just waiting to bite you in the ass.

Yep, 8-10 tenths should be STRICTLY the domain of track days at some local closed-course facility.

(...of course all this DOESN'T mean that all those freakin' slow as hell HARLEY riders who ARE probably riding at 7 tenths of THEIR and their BIKE'S capabilities shouldn't STILL move the hell over to the right in the twisties when I come up behind 'em so I can pass their slow freakin' butts in a reasonably safe manner!!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Target fixation, and most likely cruising along in the wrong gear. Boys, keep the rpm’s high and stay in a low gear when tackling the twisties. I do hope the gentlemen was ok.

Way late on this, but this was my first thought. He is in the wrong gear.

Look close at his head. The turn started going to heck (Oh I'm so proud of myself for not using the proper H word!) when he started looking at the car instead of where he wanted to go.

Hwy 49 "The Little Dragon" in the Central Sierra's is a popular route for the Presidents Triumph riders out of the bay area. I have to admit that in my earlier days I spun out on a sharp curve with some gravel in the path I took. Close call with the me and the bike on the edge of a drop off. http://www.pashnit.com/roads/cal/Hwy49Dragon.htm
