I'm recovering from a similar type of wreck on july 25th. I was on my way home from work and was only 1-1/2 miles from home. a 325i BMW came around a Left hand bend, he was 3 feet on my side and he hit a toyota 4 runner head on ( driver to driver anyway) they bounced apart about 8 feet and i came around the corner and laid the bike down. broken R elbow, L wrist, concussion and lotsa bruising. had to be lifeflighted to hospital ($28,000) for the ride and i didn't even get to watch. I may never straighten my right arm completely and have lost almost all my grip in my right hand. my bike is repairable as it only laid down ($5200 to fix it). my riding days are over ( i'm 57 yrs old) and she will be for sale when she comes home from the dealers. 2009 Speedmaster.
