Besides all the excellent observations for this crash offered up in this thread so far, such as his lack of concentration, target fixation and perhaps his gear selection, I can NEVER emphasize the following enough...the whole problem here started with the rider taking the wrong line as he entered into the curve. The rider should have been hugging the centerline of the road as he approached the curve and then as he reached the apex of it he would have had more his side of the road in order to complete his turn.
Once again, always practice your "late apexing" tactics whenever you're in the twisties, folks!(...because EVERYTIME a rider "goes wide" it's because they've "early apexed" into a curve!)
