Shoei RF1100, + Sena SMH10 headset unit.
After 85K miles of motorcycle Zen, I finally have tunes when I ride. I don't know why I waited so long.
I use a FiiO E6 amp with my IPod, and with earplugs in, at full volume and speeds over 80 mph, very decent sound quality and can still hear surroundings when in the urban jungle. And it's easy to turn the volume up or down if needed. It's impossible for it to be too loud, not that I wouldn't, but seriously, turned up all the way, no where near damaging to my ears - like it's a built in safety thing.
If my phone's Bluetooth is on, I can take calls, but sound clarity is better at sub-60 mph speeds, and once, I even accidentally made a last number redial happen, but I don't know how I did it.
The Sena is easy to use, and top shelf, if your looking for a headset intercom system. I just don't have anyone else that I ride with or need to communicate with helmet-to-helmet.
But it's great for tunes!
