Naw, he spoke with a southern drawl like I do.
We've always called them chameleon because it can change colour with its environment but I don't know what the proper name for it is. It looks similar to the gheko but with a narrower head. He also does something with his throat that looks like a red flag pushing out the bottom. This particular lizard is indigenious to the southeastern USA. A friend of mine let some pet ghekos get loose at his house and now he has those things everywhere.
