Several blown/missed/bogus calls that had an outcome on the game. Prior to the mess on the last play the Hawks were tagged with a bogus ( per Gruden and everyone else watching) pass interference on 3rd and 7 if I remember correctly, resulting in a first down for the Pack which kept the drive alive on their go ahead TD.

Great defensive battle by both teams marred by the zebras.

Yep, and the weirdest part by far in this whole equation was that the final play was even reviewed by the officials, which I'm assuming included slow-motion replay, and thus anyone not remotely blind and/or having an I.Q. of more than 80 should have come to the conclusion that THAT was an interception after viewing a slowed down replay of it.

Anyone know, do they drug test NFL refs?

I just heard on ESPN Radio that one of the officials from last night was actually fired as a ref from the Lingerie Football League

Can't cut it there but good enough to be a replacement ref in the NFL?

Very close, since all you have to do is break the plane of the goal line to score, that means possession is determined at the beginning of the catch, which was a tie.

How could it be a tie when the defender had the ball in his chest with both hands and the receiver had one hand near it and then the second hand in there once they were on the ground? It was not a tie at all.

There were plenty of missed/inaccurate calls during the game..offensive line offside after play results in yardage gained??? 8 sacks in first half and no holding by their offensive line??Fumble while tackled but ruled down on the way??Pass Interference??Plenty to be dissatisfied with for sure..BUT..72,000(seated capacity 68,000) standing room tickets sold puts the NFL in the position to continue to use replacement refs..The fans love it and vote with their Dollars..It is a business and business is fine!!!Being a Seahawk season ticket holder who saw my hawks robbed in superBowl XL..just sorry the injustice was not served upon the Stealers!!

Right on Bob,

I mostly posted this to get a rise out of you, as I knew you were in the seats somewhere. Didn't Z take us all by that stadium (3-4 times)on the "tour of the lost souls" back in 2008? The radio waves have been burning up today. As one of 80,000 team owners I am precluded from making disparaging league comments, unless it pertains to da Bears.

Not on a reception. You must follow through and maintain possession to the ground (assuming you're going to the ground). If you appear to catch it but lose control as you contact the ground the pass is incomplete.

And not only was the "TD" call a bad one, BUT the you had two officials right in the vicinity, and so how did at least ONE of 'em fail to see the blatant PUSH by the Seahawk receiver on the Packers' defender before the ball even got to the players!

Yep, can we say: "Offensive Pass Interference", boys and girls?!

(...heck, even the Seahawk player who did it laughed about it during the postgame interviews..."Gee, I have NO idea what you're talkin' about!", he said while sportin' THE most sheepish grin one could sport!)

I can't complain too bad....that call won me the weekly office pool pot...I and two others had picked 8 winners through Sunday night, but I had the SHawks last night while the other two had the Packers.

I gave some thought to just donating it to this weeks pot on principal....NOT!

I agree it was a bad call, but it was also reviewed and it stood as called. The reasoning being that in a duel possession situation the ball goes to the offensive player.

Let's not pretend that the regular refs never blow game changing calls and they are making $150,000 a year plus expenses for twenty months of work on the weekends, they all have regular jobs, mostly professionals.

Personally, I like the amateur refs, reminds me of high school football, makes things interesting, besides I don't bet and I'm a Chiefs fan which mean good call or bad it ain't going to make no difference, they suck!

I am completely confused by your post. "Twenty months of work"? Twenty months a year? Twenty months a season?

Would you explain what that meant?

My bad, I need to read my post more carfully, suffering from Oldtimers. They work for 20 WEEKS a year on the weekends.

I don't know, I s'pose if you just look at the MNF video, it looks questionable. But at other angles, it sure looks like a TD, especially the local Q13 Fox video. It's clear the Packers are trying to wrestle the ball out of Tate's hands.

As bad as that game was called (the entire game), nobody can really say that the seachickens wouldn't have won anyway. Actually, you cant say that GB wouldn't have won either.

Yes, the Seahawks might have won anyway. But the horrible officiating means Monday's win will forever wear an asterisk. And it robbed Seattle fans -- I am one -- of the chance to win honestly or lose honorably. I'm glad the NFL and the officials have ended their spat.

I've always wondered. When a player or coach blows a play or makes a bad decision we realize it's just part of the game. But, when a referee makes a bad call everyone acts as if a major injustice has been done. It's just a game, it's played and officiated by humans who make errors, people need to get a grip.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Totally agree, I was taught bad officiating is like bad weather, deal with it, over come it. This now famous bad "scab" call I'm sure will be the last bad call of the season, any bets?

I think a large part of it was perception. The replacements just looked bad out there. They never gave the appearance of really knowing what they were doing and appeared confused. Throw in one or two times when one of them calls the center for pass interference and their credibility goes out the window.

True, but when marketing a product perception is everything. Plus you had the politics of it. The replacements know the game's rules, the speed at which pros play was just too fast for their experience. It's what rookie players always comment on when coming to the pros. In jr high you're a stud, in high school you are one of the few studs, in college everyone is a studs with an occasional god and the pros is where those gods go to play. (note small g gods)
In the pros speed is everything, the world is full of slow giants.
