Ok,

I've had the '68 (aluminum mesh grill) Chevelle Malibu El Camino since 1980.

It's fully loaded with buckets & consol, Four Season A/C, PB, PS, auto, 350.

It runs, but I've been planning to replace ALL the wiring harnesses, install a complete retro interior with the A/C system, and install a GMPP ZZ4 crate engine with a performance 700R4 transmission and a performance 12 bolt, with four wheel disks.

I've recently been watching for the wiring harnesses, and have been pricing the ZZ4 (rated @ 355 HP & 405 torque).

Well, NO, that ain't no ZZ4!

It's a Vortec 5700 L31, (rated @ 255 HP & 330 torque)

WHY?

Cause it ain't for MY car, it's destine for that friggin' TAHOE of my wife's.

After the valve job about six months ago, it spun a rod bearing, and several other rod bearings were shot.

So, JUST like EVERYTHING else in my life, MINE gets put on the back burner!

F@%#!

Well, at least it's in.

I keep tellin' myself that "Someday my day will come" (G. Jones), But I REALLY think it MIGHT be time to stop chasin' my tail!
