After being hounded for three months by a close friend from work I finally sold my America to him. Though I got a great price I am a little sad to see her go. But I ride the Thruxton all the time and the Norton a lot of the time(thanks to Dwight after seeing his flat tracker) while my America just sat under a sheet in the garage on a battery tender. I would ride it out of necessity just to keep things lubed up. It just happened and now she's gone. But I can ride her anytime I want. And I'll probably be doing the wrenching on her also. I blame Dwight. If I hadn't seen his FT I would have never gotten into the fast and handling bit. All his fault. All ribbing aside I will not be going away. Now I am down to just three motorcycles. And I got my 69 Dart to run an 11.97@116mph with a semi built 340. I still have my toys. Just one less. I feel better now. I will now go have me a Jack Daniels Green and think about the last eight years I had with my beloved America, Chromeo. Ride safe fellas, Doug

I can see what you're hinting at so YES, I will take that Norton off of your hands so you can focus on the Triumphs

GEEEZ! Now WHY do I always get blamed for everything around here, HUH???!!! Yep Doug, I understand the reasons you sold THE most beautiful BA Custom Bobber ever to grace the BA.com website! Glad to hear you sound pleased with the guy you sold her to. I have a feelin' you wouldn't have sold her to anyone who you might've thought wouldn't have cared for her as well as you have, right?! Say! I hope you told the new owner about this website. Eeh, I'm sure you did. And, I ALSO liked readin' that you'll occasionally check-in around here still. (...ya know, I'm plannin' on goin' to the Hansen Dam Meet again this year, so hopefully we'll touch base this time...I'm DYIN' to see that beautiful Norton Fastback of yours in the flesh!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
