After being hounded for three months by a close friend from work I finally sold my America to him. Though I got a great price I am a little sad to see her go. But I ride the Thruxton all the time and the Norton a lot of the time(thanks to Dwight after seeing his flat tracker) while my America just sat under a sheet in the garage on a battery tender. I would ride it out of necessity just to keep things lubed up.
It just happened and now she's gone. But I can ride her anytime I want. And I'll probably be doing the wrenching on her also.
I blame Dwight. If I hadn't seen his FT I would have never gotten into the fast and handling bit. All his fault.
All ribbing aside I will not be going away. Now I am down to just three motorcycles. And I got my 69 Dart to run an 11.97@116mph with a semi built 340. I still have my toys. Just one less.
I feel better now. I will now go have me a Jack Daniels Green and think about the last eight years I had with my beloved America, Chromeo.

Ride safe fellas,

Doug
