Sorry to hear the "bug" screwed up your and Janet and Jim and Lynn (?), what about Greg's long anticipated vacation? Maybe your bike caught it also, commisseration

I actually like & prefer 3:30 am starts .

While I was up there I commented on how poetic it was that Phil and Raven were both sick at the same time I felt the sickness that Phil and Janet had creep up on me around Wed but my body was able to fight it off and it never manifested to more than just an odd taste when I swallowed.

I had a great time regardless, putting in the final break in miles on my Daytona. I definitely need to work on getting racing gear, 181 between Banner Elk and Morganton just begs you to put your knee down but I wasn't going to do that in jeans (but I did get her up to 124 on a straight stretch of road close to home ). I also put a couple hundred miles on my speedy since I needed to blow the cobwebs out and hadn't ridden her for about a month and a half. Talk about night and day between the two bikes! It was almost like learning to ride all over again. Almost dropped the speedy when I was making a slow speed turn into a driveway and the engine died (wasn't fully warm yet and didn't give it enough gas).

I don't know how you early risers do it. I've risen before the sun on a few occasions but 3:30 is usually when I'm falling asleep. It was almost hard for me to comprehend in Shari's post where she was able to roll out by 5:15 and still slept in for an hour. Don't get me wrong, sunrises are great but typically the only time I see them is if I've stayed up all night.
