I am looking to do some stuff over the winter, a couple things will be to powder coat the headlight but not the ring, i am also looking at ceramic coating the headers and pipes, but might also want to do just the headers black and the pipes stay chrome, maybe also the bars in black ! If you have some pictures that are similar i would appreciate the look. my bike now,

Mike B. That is a purty bike. There is a gentleman on facebook (P. Amnell [sorry pete]) who has bad blacked out pipes (newbonneville.com). Your bike is great.

FB is a good resource but remember LOCOPONY is cool on both BA.COM and FB but he put a car tire on his rear wheel. Can you say LOCO PONY LOCO PONY. His shop is cool. Just don't fu*k with him

ya i like the looks of the headlight i also put the headlight extension bar on mine from BC so will stick out a bit more, thanks for the pics.

thats ugly. I know that ceramic is best for the pipes but has anyone tried powder coat on them? I was hoping to get that clear coat look without having to go black chrome which is a bit on the pricey side. Ceramic likely but thought i would ask.

I'll work on pics, but I painted, with "semi flat" high temp black paint, the bars, "dash board", forks, lower tree, and headlight bucket. Love it. LOVE the look of the headlight in black with aa chrome ring. Go for it.

could you run a 150/60/18 front tyre on an america with no front fender bracket fitted to the bike. what tyre have you got on your bike?

I believe you would need to change out your rim to a 4" Min. or 4 1/2" (better) wide version. Stock 3 1/2 inches would probably be too narrow. Also a 150 tire is probably within 1/8th to 3/16th " clearance on each inner side of the forks, that's real tight. Then the extra unsprung weight on a set of forks not valved for it? Looking cool can get you in trouble, IMO, BTW, 130/90 s will fit your stock rims and forks, sans the fork Bracket, albeit tight. Also different tire brands vary in actual dimensions, even though a stated same size. Do lots of measuring and research first, and you will save some money.

 Ceramic coated headers. I misunderstood the original owner, unfortunately the pipes were painted and not ceramic and the difference finally showed its ugly head. I like to think it was a nice look, now gone in favor of TORs and matching chrome headers.
