It took a lot for me to roach my original clutch, after the 904. I felt it slipping for about a year before I actually did anything, and my clutch plates were scorched pretty nasty black. But all I had to do was use less throttle, it never had a complete loss of power transfer. I don't see how a bump start would cause any damage, done it myself a few times.
