Thanks Z. Honestly, after all the "polite" urging from John, I'm not sure why it took me so long. He is likely up there looking down saying "it's about ****** time!"
I totally agree about not turning this into a flame war from last year. As we say goodbye to the first decade of Kootenay Raids, I reflect and appreciate everything each person has done to keep this event going. Now it's my turn and all I ask is for a chance to change what needs to be changed, and keep what needs to be kept. I can't guarantee this year will have it all as it is my first one and I will learn from it and will correct for the next year. I will most definitely have the best interest of the Triumph riders at heart. Know that you have one of the most brand loyal and biggest Triumph advocates at the top of this event.
Z has gotten to know a bit about me as I wrote my speech in memory of John. He knows my character is ensuring I get things right and make people proud. Freedom ensured me that my tribute to Friar was incredibly appropriate and very well done. I intend to approach my responsibility to all of you in the same fashion with this Raid.
I'm kind of excited! The new website is coming along and I hope to have it up soon!
Any day on my bike is the best day ever! That would be my custom painted 2007 Speedmaster or my 2002 Daytona 955i also known as my salt racing bike!
