I am told (our UK friends will confirm?) that there were no computer graphics or digital tricks used in the production of this UK Honda Accord ad . The filming took 606 takes over three months to complete including full engineering of the sequence. I’m still trying to figure out how the plank goes through the window and the wheels roll uphill though.

Well, I think that since the wheels are progressively smaller, the energy transfer is enough to move them. It looks like the plank butts up against both sides of the window, but you do have to look closely.
I always wanted to see a Rube Goldberg device that actually worked . Thanks.

It's too bad we don't get accord wagons over here, sharp car!!

OK the wheels. Forget rolling uphill, they were also balanced and not moving on a slope!!

I think the way they roll uphill is that they are weighted. Notice, they started moving slowly, then sped up a bit, it's weights. My favorite is the windshield wipers walking across the floor

Hiya Rick
Sorry to spoil it for you but it did use computers quiet a lot.

Like Benny says, the tyres sorta give it away - just to name one.

Still one of my favourites ad ever though.

I always wondered how they made those things. Always thought they just tossed the bits in a paper bag and shook it.

Mousetrap is still fun! Want me to bring mine to Georgia?
They still sell them.

Mousetrap wasn't fun to actually play, it was only fun to set up and make work. Anyone remember actually playing it? Like by the rules? Didn't think so

OOOOOPPPS! Sorry Adey!(AND TR6)

But this here thing had all the earmarks of one of those cool OT posts that you've become famous around here for.

And...with this advancing age of mine speeding faster every day from those carefree days of my youth playing Mousetrap with the kids next door, I guess this "old" brain o' mine is fastly approaching those "other" days to come where I'll probably walk up to some kid on a Triumph and say to him..."Nice bike, kid! I THINK I used to have one of them!"

Cheers,
Dwight
(these brain-farts o' mine are just getting all TOO common lately for a gent of only 54)

Thursday night at my house is usually family night. we get out the board games and I play with the girls. They really like mousetrap, well the cranking the handle part at least.
How many times in one night can you play parchessi before going insane? my limit is 3, then I get out the razor blades and start cutting on my wrists.

Ben!
My God! You didn't play by the rules?
Maybe you should try a game like SORRY!. Those rules are easy to follow.
