While I'm all for inmates working for their keep there are so many things crooked about "for profit" prisons I just don't think I could support them.

In AZ the advent of for profit prisons has led to much longer sentences being doled out by elected judges whose biggest contributors were...you guessed it...the for profit prisons they help keep filled.

That's down right scary.

I sure do understand the concern Chet. Some oversight is definitely warranted.
On the other hand, I'm all for criminals paying restitution and inmates earning some of their own keep.
