He was a hero to me. Then I read his biography and I was completely disillusioned. I saw an arrogance and a person who manipulated and exploited others to build the god Lance.

I am also convinced that drug cheats are rife in the sport and you may have to go to the lower echelons of riders to find untainted ones ... But that needs to be done. If cheating is acceptable (as some have suggested) then where do you draw the line? Bribing officials to eliminate other riders? Sabotaging other riders?

I don't believe Lance passed all those tests. He found a way to mask or tamper with the results as is attested by too many witnesses to not be true.

I consider character to be of infinitely higher value than achievements or skills so I don't admire him for his craftiness or superior deceptive abilities.
