The screws for the float bowl drain are not just standard screws. Is there a good source for those. One of mine is chewed up and just about spit out. It requires vice grips to remove now it is so bad.

Should yours still have the brass phillips head screws, why yes those strip out easy which is sort of the point as they will strip out before you waste the float bowl...
When you get the stainless steel screws (ace Hardware is a good place to check out) hand tighten gently only.

Moe, think he meant drain screws. But then again, I may be wrong, it happens sometimes.

I was speaking about the float bowl drain screws, and ALL the screws in the carbs have been converted to stainless allen head screws. Just this one is not good. But what I mean about not standard is that it has an point at the end of the screw with no threads on it to possibly help close off the drain.

Personally I never open the drain I just put a rag under them and pop the bowl.
