Same for me. I went to southern California to buy mine as there was no dealer in Vegas at the time. Only went to the dealers in Vegas after we got them to look at stuff, and ordered parts once. They seemed OK, but didn't last. Now we have another so if (when) I decide to buy a new bike in the future, I may find out how they are.
And Skip, you don't have to leave the site. In fact you may get better info about riding and issues with your HD than you would on another site. We may have some fun teasing about other brands but there is a wealth of varied experience here, so don't be a stranger.
