I have some 1/4" steel at home that I'm hopefully/eventually going to use to make brackets to lower the rear pegs, more for another option as almost "mid pegs" for me, but also leave the standard rear brackets on. I don't have much by way of advice... sorry... but this kind of re-sparked my interest, so maybe we can put our heads together!

correct...here is what Brent from newspeedmaster.com said
Me:
Hi, I need to relocate my passenger pegs. I don’t like the look of any of the ones you have. What I was thinking was, getting the Custom Peg Hangers BLACK PLAIN And also the Union Jack Solo Finishers And put one on top of the other. Would that work? Would the Union Jack Solo Finishers cover the custom peg hanger all but the bottom? Please let me know asap I want to order today if I can. thanks
Brent:
Hey Bill - Never seen it done... The only thing that would be an issue is that we have holes drilled in the relo brackets for the ****** on the pegs. This keeps them from spinning. The solo finishers do not have these holes. This may all be moot, however, because we do not have either in stock right now and likely will not for a while. Stainless steel pricing has gone through the roof. Cost for material alone is $6K. That's a LOT of finishers and brackets to sell.....
Me:
How long before you have them in?
Brent:
Months...If ever... We're weighing the pricing and if it's even feasible at this time.

i have a local fab guy, talking to him this weekend. i was thinking something that brings the new peg position just below the bottom mounting bolt of the hanger. it would have to of course come out, so the peg could fold up. and then use a nice chrome bolt and washer you cover the old hole in the back of the hanger.

I did this.
Made a template, local welding shop cut the metal. Had them powder coated. Extra pegs from PinWall. Keeps the original rear peg location (g/f has short legs) and gives me a mid ~ rear option. Can be used for a long legged passenger as well
09 America, some modifications

The easiest solution is to mount your pegs in the front lower mounting hole for the peg hangers. The threads on the pegs are the same as the mounting hole.

He speccifically said he doesnt want to... but yeah that is easy. I wanna do something like above too! As for fabrication, I was going to work mostly with an angle grinder and jig saw May take me a while!!!

+1! That's all I've done over the last five years, and only screw them in when my wife wants to go.

Ok guys, I totally get that there is an easy solution, one that I currently am using...HOWEVER...I am NOT looking for easy, I am looking for decorative.

I have the fluted hangers, ordered them unpolished for my Speedie spray painted black. The forward position is good but my wife finds them a little low and gets a numb leg so we are experimenting with blocks. Kind of like your dad used to put on your tricycle pedals.

My wife sooo loved my Rivco passenger floorboards, with the optional 4" relocating arms that move them forward for a better fit with your saddlebags. ( they are listed in the classified section right now , just sayin' )
