Don't feel too bad... we have all done something similiar. The other day at the gas station I almost dropped mine too. Same habit about stopping and kicking the side stand down(except this time I didn't actually go all the way down and lock). Just when it got to the point where it should have stopped (and it didn't) I had to make a hulk effort to catch it and not let it drop. I must admit after I got it back up and actually settled on the stand that I looked around to see if anyone had seen it. Glad nobody else was watching... embarassing.
