Reading police reports are a hoot and I thought I wrote badly. Even worse is the poor officer that has to interpret and enter those narratives in to the uniform crime stat reports sent to the FBI. I imagine in some large cities they just flip a coin or throw darts to determine what law might apply from the original report.
