I agree, don'[t hide it explain it to them let them handle it teach them the safe way to handle it. By 9 years old I was allowed to take rifles out to shoot by myself as long as I asked. My 5 year old grand kids know where my guns are and not to touch and have already started to teach safe handling. If they are not a mystery they hold less forbidden attraction.
I learned all I need to know about life by killing smart people and eating their brains. Eat right ,Exercise ,Stay fit, Die Anyway!
