The question of what is the point of not having the gun loaded and having to fiddle around making it ready in an emergency. My guess is that anyone can ready a gun in less time than their wife calls 911, deals with a dispatcher, waits 3, 5, 8, 20, 30 minutes for the the "first responders". There is a reason we have no constitutional right to assume the police have a duty to protect us.
