Scrape the pegs every now and then on my usual route and it no longer gives me a fright. Strangely it's usually the left peg - strange given the camber is opposite to the USA so it would usually be easier to scrape the right peg in Australia.
I did get a fright the other day when I bottomed the right pipe hard at 100kph directly below my seat (but not the peg) in a fast right corner with an unexpected bump in the corner.
I try to push the envelope because these bikes will stick/corner harder than we think. I suspect a lot of accidents could be avoided if the rider simply laid the bike over further rather than freaking out and braking/standing the bike up.
