 What does a Triumph sound like?

Hey all, yesterday I had my new-to-me 06 Triumph America out for a spin and I started hearing what sounded to me like ticking at rpm speed. The oil level is good, the weight is recommended, so I'm not sure if the noise is normal for a Triumph or something to look into... I took a short vid - you can start to hear the ticking better at the end of it. Can any experts and veterans chime in? http://flic.kr/p/cE6oPdI can take more vids, target specific places, etc. Oil level is right in the middle in the sight glass when hot/cold.

The best remedy is to get louder pipes so you can't hear the ticking.  Seriously though, I watched your vid and your bike sounds perfectly normal. Our engines like to chatter in a way just like yours.

If it ain't ticking, you need your valve clearances checked. BTW, your engine sounds healthy as can be.

So Soren, I gotta ask: Where exactly were you when you made that video of your bike with those fishtail exhausts? It certainly couldn't have been in Oregon!  (...ya see, the sky was blue with not a rain cloud in sight!!!)

I was up there 4 years ago working, just about this time of year, and it was sunny most days. I have to admit the weather was a little different because it seemed to take all day to warm up. The warmest part of the day was around 5pm.

Hell, Oregon is the Tropics, compared to Washington State, at least near the coast, where I live.
