Engle motors re: replacement parts. Ordered a repalcement speedo cable on 7/10 & now @ 22 days and still waiting for the part. Placed another order for the same part online thru WOT (world of Triumph) on 7/29 and we'll see who delivers first (I kinda think it'll be WOT as they sent the headstock bearing wrench to me in like 4 days!!! from the UK no less!!!)

Sounds like a Triumph problem not our dealer's.

Okay Mac you're probably right. None the less I received the speedo cable from WOT today & am still waiting to hear anything from Engle (@ 24 days and still counting) . If I do ever get any notice from Engle that part has finally arrived I'll purchase it just so I don't have to wait again! I am fully convinced it's a "TPUSA" issue as WOT had it drop shipped to me without issue direct from Triumph in the UK. I still think TPUSA needs to hire me as an inventory consultant too to fix their JIT distribution problems.

Before the Nelson RAID I had new tires put on my bike. I had air in the rear tire to have it installed before I left. I paid for the rear tire over the phone with a credit card so they would air it for me. I had forgot I per paid for the tire. Went to the dealership and paid for front and rear tire. Got my credit card statement today and they had charged me for two rear wheels!!!!! Good thing I checked! I am a new rider and America owner but I'm pretty sure there is only 1 rear tire on my bike

I happy you got your cable, but I'd make sure you mention the situation to Adam or Mike, just so they are aware. I will next time I'm down there for sure.

Some of you might have read my feeling about my Triumph dealer in Erie, Pa. in another thread. I should have saved it for this thread. For the rest of you I will fill you in. I bought a new Triumph America in April 2012, and absolutely feel in love with it. On July 6th I totaled the bike. A car turned in front of me. It’s been 7 weeks and I’m doing fine. Now for the dealer I wanted the same bike again. He agreed to get me one with all the modifications I had on the original one. But for 2 ½ weeks he wouldn’t come up with an OTD price. I made an appointment to sit down and discuss the price. For 2 hours he played the car new car dealer games. He went back and forth for 2 hours with still no price. I finally left. We spoke the next Friday. He informed me he would stop by my house on the way home and have the price for me, but he’d call when he was on his way. Guess what? He never called or showed up. That was the last I would deal with them. Did I over react? I don’t think so. I ordered 2013 HD XL1200 Sportster, with an OTD price with in an hour. We all have our preferences on what we like to ride. But when all is said and done, it’s just about the ride and how we all enjoy it.

50/50 with our local dealer they missed ordering things when I needed many parts due to an accident a couple years ago but the people are friendly and the place as Bill mentioned has a good showroom. I did have a debate about tire size with the service mgr who said he would make me sign a kind of waiver if I wanted to change size of front tire from recommended then two weeks after I purchased tire from someone else the new Speedmaster arrived with the very tire I had suggested. Wonder if he noticed?

I am late to posting on this but my dealer is great. Freedom Cycle of Reno. They are the owners of the new Freedom Cycle of Las Vegas. They have always treated me right and are a pleasure to deal with. On a recent trip I had a problem and they worked to get me home. Provided personal cell numbers in the event I needed more assistance after the shop closed.
On a side note, I finally got to see what it is like to be a Hardly owner. The bike died during the last two hundred miles of the trip and had to be put in a truck like a Hardly. Crankshaft sensor crapped out.

Over priced. I just ordered brake pads from Eddy ($65 total for front and back) but realised I couldn't wait for them to come in. I went into the dealership today and paid $48 for just the back.
As Paul has already mentioned, they are a pain when it comes to tires. They will only install tires you buy from them. So, I went somewhere else. Now I am realising how much I can just do myself.
Also, as Paul mentioned, nice people and nice selection. Most of my complaints seem to stem from the rapid change in the US/Canada exchange rate coupled with the ease of buying on line. A lot of Canadian companies have not been able to adjust to the new way of doing business.

I think mine is too damn far away. It is a 6 hour ride counting pee and lunch stops.
