Hi all, just got off the phone with Michael Alva, a sales rep for Corbin. I emailed the pics of my corbin seat to him because of a bracket problem ( see gallery ). On a Speedmaster, the triangular bracket only covers the center hole not the two flanking holes. I had received an email from his boss today saying the images were received and being forwarded to him. So I called to follow up and make sure he didn't have any questions. First off... real nice guy, really listened and agreed with my concerns. As we spoke, he printed out the images and was going to head down to manufacturing to see what could be done to fix the problem. I mentioned that I thought the bracket should also have the option to be chromed or stainless steel instead of the black ( doesn't do Brent's fender bib justice to stick out like that ). Anyhow, he is checking on all of it and is going to get back to me. My thought is this, it might be a good time for anyone who is interested to contact Michael and voice your same concerns, strength in numbers and all that. I gave him a link to this site and told him of the many people here who have or have ordered the Corbins andd told him to check out the site. So his email is michael.alva@mikecorbin.com.... ride safe.... Gordon

I dealt with him on the adjustment of my seat and recovering of my backrest. Top notch service.

I'd like to get the wider chrome bracket if Corbin ever starts making one. I have the same issue, the bracket doesn't match my chrome Triumph fender rack, and it doesn't cover the unused screw holes in the fender.
I like my Corbin seat. It looks great on my bike and the quality is top notch, but it's still too hard, even after a full riding season. My butt goes to sleep if I don't keep shifting my weight around. Maybe my butt is just getting old.

Cody, I had the same problem with my Corbin seat. I sent it back for a rework (only cost shipping to Corbin) and it's much more comfortable. I can't wait to take a longer trip on it.

I'd like to get mine redone, but it's too close to the riding season now. I should have had it done in January, but I kind of forgot about it until I sat on it the other day. Maybe this fall...

Call Corbin, ask for Michael Alva and ask him what the turn around time is. It doesn't hurt to ask. It'll cost you about $10 UPS ground, although you might want to jump up to Second-Day. I think mine took 3-4 weeks for the seat and backrest (they hit me for $85 for reupholstering the backrest including return shipping). I rode a few times this winter with the stock seat while it was being done.

loco,
Where you been all winter? I thought of using a pad like yours, but, hey, I paid the money for the Corbin so I might as well have it right. I'll get it re-done at some point.

You rode this winter? You lucky dog! I 'spose I could strap the gunslinger back on for a couple weeks.

Gordon,
Nice seat. With my seat I switched out the bracket for the Triumph stock one. They are interchangeable.

Yeah, I snuck in a ride here and there. I swear most of February was in the 40s. "Unseasonably warm" doesn't even begin to cover it.
Originally my Corbin didn't come with a bracket. When I sent it in I put the stock bracket back on the stock seat so I could still ride if the opportunity presented itself. When the Corbin came back it had that little black bracket on it from Corbin. I'll probably swap brackets again so the stock bracket covers those extra holes in the fender.

John, the problem is I have a speedie that came with a gunfighter seat, hence, no solo seat bracket, Friar John, that ugly triangular bracket that Corbin put on is the one I am trying to get replaced. I hope they come up with an answer soon. If not, does anyone remember the email for the member who used to fabricate these brackets from the old site..... Ride safe.... Gordon

Cody - I do remember that ride - It was very expensive - I've been waiting for the Freak to arrive for like 3 weeks now - bolted on the Epcos last weekend - they just kick a$$! Let's hook up for a cruise soon...... This guy I work with has a carb balancer - let me know if you want to muttle through it at the same time??
