No problem using the fuel bottles for gasoline. They are made for white gas and are leak/corrosion proof. The good thing about them is how safe they are. You can drop them, smack them and bounce them all you want as long as you don't puncture them. They are pretty sturdy aluminum and can take a beating and weigh next to nothing. There are some that are as large as 1/2 gallon, which is just enough to get you about another 20 miles.
