1. Thanks for serving.
2. Thanks for serving in that crap hole, and come home safe and soon. (It's a long deployment only while you're there. Once it's over, the clock speeds up again. Trust me on that one.)
3. I take Dwight completely differently than you do. For one, I never hear him yelling directly at me. After all, this is a forum full of folks with a single common interest (Triumphs), but of diverse backgrounds, opinions, manners of expression, etc. Dwight's method of using CAPs in his writing is (this is my take) a way of emphasising/emoting certain words or phrases. I read his missives as (sometimes poorly written) music - which has notations for softer, louder, lively, and such. To you, it's yelling. To me, it's "emphasising." My own writing style uses CAPs, quoatations, apparently Misspelled words (like quoatations, for example), parentheses, hyphens, and I hope a bit of self depricating (some here would say it was defecating) dry humor. If I were ever to write a threatening letter to someone, they would certainly know it was me who wrote it.
4. My point is that I view this off topic forum as a source of amusement and diversion, and I rarely take anything seriously here. It's like a cyber beer lounge without the middle part. I know that it's tough over there, but I doubt that Dwight's opinionated bombastic, one-sided, simplisticly expressed opinions in any way reflect or sympathize with the germ-cakes you and your comrades are protecting us from. I certainly don't take his rants personally, and neither should you. However, it's good that you expressed your annoyance.
5. There are a lot of folks in this lounge. Perhaps he uses CAPs so he can be heard above the din.
