After a lot of thought and comparisons I have ordered some new skins for the America. A 120/90 Metzler ME 880 for the front and a 170/80 Michelin Commander II for the rear. The current tires are Shinko Tour Masters and they were worth maybe a small portion of what they cost. They were cheap and I got what I paid for. Low mileage for both front and rear and a slight wobble on the front. No more Shinkos for me. I have used the Michelin before (110/90-18 & 170/80-15), and would have them front and back again, but they no longer make any 18 inch bias ply front tires.
I've wondered if anyone here has gone against (imagine that) manufacturers advice and put a radial on the front of our bikes?
