+1 That restrictor is there to create back pressure at a tuned length (in a specific rev range). Remapping probably won't compensate for the lost power from removing the restrictor.

If you want more sound start cutting baffles from the tail end of the muffler. Or better yet get some aftermarket pipes that are proven to have great sound.
