This is common with Jeep owner too, they only wave to other Jeep Drivers.
Back home you wave to anyone while driving through a neighborhood or down a dirt road, it's redneck logic, you wave, you're a friend, they dont shoot you when you break down.
On the bike I toss you two fingers to passing riders, take it as a peace sign or to my friends that ride it's simply, 2 shot glasses and a bottle of tequila.
