Just happened to have problems on right side firing..after running a trip in all kind of weather (incl rain) some 3000 km with no problems, but washed biked home and next day run 2*130km. On motorway after 50 km felt smthing strange, thought it was buffling/road and stopped on gasstation but noticed nothing and continued with no problems. Coming back it appeared again (after some 80 km), motor not running ok the end of the trip. At home noticed burned marks in right side pipe.
I checked and cleaned the inginition coil connections (used wd40) and changed also the sparkplugs (even they looked of to me). Now I've run the same trip 250km ok with no problems, hopefully the problem don't appear. I think I'll be more careful washing the bike from now on as it could result in electrical problems ?! Maybe a good idea to protect the connectors with white vaseline ?
