I have one of those aluminum backpackers fuel containers that can be used for about 1/2 gallon in the largest size. They are pretty cheap and very sturdy. Don't know if this helps, but even a quart or so can get you to the next gas station in an emergency. (Like when you go on a trip and forgot to take it off reserve. Doh.)
