it seems that for some on this thread, reading comprehension is not a strong suit (this is not to you sigmund.) the immigrants are HERE folks. let's rationally deal with what we got, what we need, and how to manage the influx. i find soren's quoted piece from o'reilly to be right on. case in point, the ladies that have been picking crabs on maryland's eastern shore for a decade. no one else wants that job and the employer is legit. stopping those ladies from their time honored trek from south and central america to easton to provide the best blue crab meat on earth (imho) would be a travesty to them AND me. let's get past the petty jingoism ("Bill O'Reilly is an ignorant moron who only can spew hate") and talk factually. i realize that for some, facts are hard to digest, but we're adults, deal with the facts. i say this from the standpoint that here in baltimore we're at nearly 100% employment. those that aren't employed are either unemployable (yes, dorothy, they exist) or don't want to work (and oh yeah, dorothy, they exist too.). baltimore is being rebuilt from the sewers up by hispanics. i have no problem with mandatory screening. in fact, my stupid f-ing brother-in-law had a member of ms-13 on the crew that did my roof. the miscreant was arrested one week later trying to abduct a child from someone who owed an ms-13 member money for a member of the child's family's passage to the u.s.. real, workable, rules, and truly enforced laws (unlike the gun laws in america), would put a heavy damper on gangs like ms-13 and the like. i find the whole topic a whole bunch of bullshite just like the ports deal with dpw. it really shows how members of the party of tolerance will jump on the bandwagon given a chance to look tough on "policy".
