Gotta say I'm a bit surprised to see nobody has revived this thread from a few weeks back, now that there's this whole brouhaha goin' on over where the U.S. Olympic Team's uniforms were made.

(...what?!...is everybody with an opinion around here still on that "Global Warming" thread or somethin'???)

I've got to say, it doesn't matter where these are made they look "GAY". Especially the freakin Berets. Gee I wonder if the US basketball team will wear them.

You don't love that Ralph Lauren / Brooks Brothers / J.Press ivy league "Great Gatsby" preppy "old money" WASP look? It's actually the only true American originated fashion. Well, if you don't count t-shirts, 501 Levis, and tennis shoes.

Here’s how much the uniforms cost:
Men:
Beret – $55
Tie – $125
Belt – $85
Shirt – $425
Blazer – $795
Trousers – $295
Shoes – $165
Women:
Beret – $55
Scarf – $58
Belt – $85
Shirt – $179
Skirt – $498
Blazer – $598

They are made top drawer, because the Olympic Team members probably keep their uniforms for posterity. Although, while I wear "Ivy Style" clothing, yes I'm preppy, the angle of the photos I've seen make the uniforms look like the jackets are too short and tight, the photos make the team members look like third world dictators.

Funny how the media made a big celebration during the China Olympic games, when the US Basketball team made a pilgrimage to their uniform manufacturer's factory, in China.
