Blew myself up once doing that. Wasn't my stupidity but we had a pile of junk out of a house we got and I went in to get a light. While I was inside someone put gas on the pile unknown to me. I had left a pocket under the pile to get a good light.l It was furniture and bedding and old clothes and such. Well fumes must have built up in that pocket and when I lit it it blew me back about 10'. I am told I was laying there is shock for a few minutes with smoke coming out of my then long hair.I had no shirt on and holes in my jeans, everywhere I wasn't covered was pretty badly burned. I was looking down so my eyes and eyelashes were OK because they were shadowed by my brow. My nose was scabbed over so I could push on it and the dent would stay there for a while. It was a long hot summer and I was miserable for quite a while. Spent most of the summer in a cold bath tub. Never went to a doc due to lack of money and to my amazement I had no scarring.

I learned all I need to know about life by killing smart people and eating their brains.
