So, I had new tires mounted before the GA rally - I figured I'd suck it up and pay to have the oil changed at the same time, since it was in there anyway.....
I don't know what oil he used (independent shop) - but it really sucked. I have put 1800 miles on it, and decided to change out the oil and filter. shifting was clunky, engine seemed clickier, just generally the bike felt unhappy.
I know this is a holy war....but in the "for what it's worth" department, I put on a KN-204 filter, and filled her up with Repsol fully synthetic 10w40 4T racing oil. WOW what a difference. She goes into 1st smoother than she ever has since I've owned her (1 year), and shifts are smooth. Engine seems quieter too.
Anybody else run this oil? (it was 63 bucks for a gallon)
