We laid Mom to rest today with full military honors.
It was quite moving.
Two sailors in dress whites alongside her casket,
and three riflemen who fired a salute, followed by
the playing of taps.
Then a jet flew overhead low.
My brother looked at his watch, turned to me, and said:
"They're right on time".
Mom's at peace now,
And so am I.
