I wanted to do something to put Steelheart over the 50,000 mile mark, so I went to Key West.
Left at 4am, got back at 4pm. Spent the rest of the day sitting in the softest chair in the house.
I left at 4am to get past Miami before the Commuter Idiots woke up.
Plus I love seeing the Sunrise over the Keys.

Predawn, about 5:30, 75 miles north of Key West

Waiting for Sunrise

Good Morning Starshine. Sunrise on the Overseas Highway.

Key West- 90 miles to Cuba

Had to take this between the Cop making His rounds.
Didn't need another Ticket.

50,000 miles! Runs like a Champ! I was tired after the ride, but Steelheart could have gone again.

US1 at the very Southern tip of Florida, just north of Key Largo, is the Only place in the USA that you will see a sign like this!
I checked the canal VERY closely before taking this pic!

The north end of the Croc Zone. It's all around the aptly named Crocodile Lake.
Here's the kicker: Seven STUPID BLEEPEDY BLEEPS were SWIMMING in it!!! Of course it might be only six and a half now...

And one Croc said to another, "I hear those bikers make a great Lunch."

I could never figure out just how the Crocs would actually cross the road. There is a barrier afterall. And the Key Deer as well? 12' chain link fence on both sides of the highway? Heck.

Anyways Lou and I just missed you. This was taken at 6:30pm this past Friday.
