I agree that the rear will get lighter faster. Hence my rationale for not upgrading the rear and staying with organic pads on the rear. But I question whether the 3-piston caliper on an America would be more effective than a Speedy with 2 x 2-piston calipers and rotors. So I suspect I am still within the engineered boundaries for our bikes. But I've been wrong before (as recently as yesterday in another thread ). BTW our stock brakelines are braided.

The practical application is for me to practice getting used to moderating my new-found stop-ability so as not to lock-up the front . It doesn't feel very snatchy and still has a progressive application - just firmer and stronger than stock. But I haven't tried emergency stops yet.
