Take your Handy dandy medium duty needle nose and tweak the right cable holder (the gold colored bracket) so that the cable ends up directy above and straight shot into the cable end holder at the carb. Line em up nicely and it will be happy. Those gold brackets get mangled pulling and replacing carbs, are also easily adjusted for zero cable drag.
I am talking about the third picture. Tweak the part holding the cable that has the two 10mm nuts over a tad.
