Reutilization of a Front Rotor?

I replaced the front Rotor on my American the other weekend b/c it was below spec. Thinking of ways to re-utilize it, and looking for suggestions.
Polish it? Bead blast a design in to it? Turn it in to a clock or some type of wall hanging for the garage?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

They make a fairly durable rifle gong target, if you hang them set to swing, but, if you anchor them rigid, say, to a post, mil-spec 5.56 punches a clean hole.

Anchor for a small bass boat.

Could make a face plate for a wood lathe out of it.

Sharpen it and make a battle ax out of it.

Battle ax sounds great, as the a target (lord knows I have enough 5.56 I can afford to shoot some).

I think I will high polish it, then mask off some indices, and bead blast. It'll make a good face plate for a garage clock. At least that's the plan tonight

Or if you are into the Hip Hop/Rap scene you could wear it as a necklace.

If I make it in to a clock I can do that as well...Flava Flav style!

Small chair side table to hold your whiskey, then you can both get wobbley and distorted.

had a similar desire to do something with a front sprocket. I ended up shining it up and placing it in a shadow box surrounded by patches and ride pins, etc. It's a reasonably nice looking 'man decoration' if I must say so myself.

I have 2 belt buckles, 1 made out of cam gears and one made out of a starter gear. When the America need a new sprocket I'll turn the sprocket in to a belt buckle too!!!

I like the clock idea. Post a picture if you can, I am interested to see how it turns out. I may have to copy the idea.

You can pick up clock works at Michels or other craft stores.

You could alway to a clock/battle ax combo. Sharpen the edges, put on a handle, install clock parts, hang on wall.

I like the battle axe idea. (I never would have thought of it) Cut into an interesting shape, sharpen and mount to a wood handle. Could be kinda cool! I love medieval stuff anyway and have made a few things, like a morning star and mace. What do ya think you could cut it with?

It wasn't a joke I thought it to be a pratical application and dual purpose. And of course I was thinking redneck, and you should understand that ( .22 cal d-tool)

I like the idea, I could cut it with my dremel or my cutting wheel, shapen on my grinder, then polish, and use some round bar to build a center section and attach it to an old axe handle and voila!

I'll check michaels for clock works as I need to get some glass etching cream there as well, but I will probably buy a high torque movement online because I plan on making custom hands that will probably be heavier than standard hands.

I usually try to cure the white lightning (legal of course)with some fruit and spices. Last batch I did peaches, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Tastes just like peach cobbler. Oh yeah, and burning.
