Sadly, he took his own life after a long illness. He was a talented man, but I think this song is probably the one he will be most remembered for.

He was the catalyst that transitioned Fleetwood Mac from Peter Green's blues to Buckingham/Nicks pop sensibilities. Without Bob's influence FM might have slipped into obscurity. Pretty good guitarist, too.
