Howdy all,

So, this morning I decided to ride my 2007 America wearing a vintage 1968 HA helmet. This is the first time I've ever worn anything other than a full face helmet on my bike. Getting to my point, things on the bike are louder with a half helmet and I noticed this rather loud hissing sound coming from my right side...the chain. It was extremely audible and the phenomenon was exaggerated as I rolled past parked cars. It's a little unnerving, but I suspect 1) it's normal noise from the chain that I'm just not used to hearing in a full face helmet or 2) it's abnormal noise. Any suggestions, would oiling it help? I haven't oiled the chain for a few thousand miles so I suspect that may be the culprit. She has 9500mi on her, if this helps.

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks!
