So I'm looking at my facebook feed and see a couple posts from Bikerspost in a row that are tech questions. Both of them say "I have a Hardly Blahblah Fatblah Blahglide and my blah is leaking/shorting out/dying and my dealer has no clue/wants to charge $armleg.00 to look at it. Can anybody help me?"

For about ten minutes I thought about posting the following:
"I have an 07 Triumph America with 20,000 miles on it. Even though I've done minimal servicing on it, I haven't had any mechanical issues yet. Is this normal?"

I have a 12 year old Harley who fires up every morning and loves nothing better than going for a run.I have had no problems at all except a bit heavy on the fuel.Have taken him for yearly checks and every things fine.
Then again my Harley is a Golden retriever.

It is not normal. A 2007 motorcycle should have almost 20,000 PER YEAR.

Well, we'll have to cut him some slack, for now.

Seems he's serving his country right now, probably WISHING he was adding miles to his bike.

Godspeed young man !!!

And you may see me tonight With an illegal smile J. Prine

I know I've been slacking... there was that year dowtnrange though. Oh and thanks for all the appreciation. I have to go update that now, I've been back since December lol. (Had the good fortune to make it home to the family a few days before Christmas)
Oh and got moved from TX to WA - back up in the Everg-RAIN State, but representing by riding to work every day even in the drizzle.
The really funny part is there's only two of us crazies in my unit that ride rain or shine - and the other one is on a brand new bright orange Bonneville!

Maybe you guys will be able to get a little leave to come to Baker City this year. It'll be good to see you again.
