I had a very close call with a turkey buzzard once. I moving pretty fast on a twisty back road. I saw the bird on the shoulder and when it started to take off it flew right into my path. They are very big and mover very slowly.I steered to avoid it but it kept following my path of travel. I had to lock the rear wheel and kick it out to the side and lean the bike opposite my direction of travel.(dirt bike experience)I managed to avoid it but I could have almost reached out and touched it at one point.

I learned all I need to know about life by killing smart people and eating their brains.
Eat right ,Exercise ,Stay fit, Die Anyway!
